  Our laboratory will have openings for Phd students and Postdocs in the domain of chemical computing, organic computing, and computer simulation.

  Starting dates probably: October 2009 to March 2010.

  We are looking for someone with a diploma or master degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, or equivalent, with:

  • very strong programming skills
  • very strong mathematical skills
  • good knowledge of simulation
  • good knowledge of unvonventional and bio-inspired computing
  • familiar with a Linux environment
  • familiar with chemical organization theory would be helpful :-)

  We offer an open, interdisciplinary, and international research environment. For PhD students (and possibly also for Postdocs), there will be an opportunity to spend some of their research time abroad, e.g. at a partner's laboratory, in order to gain more international experience.

  Beside this we will also move into in-vivo chemical computing funded by EU, FP7, CHEM-IT Call. We will build "wet" artificial neurons and evaluate (in collaboration with Southampton, Warsaw, and Bristol) through wet-lab experiments, and in-silico modeling and simulation their architectural potential.
