ESIGNET: Job Openings

In the context of an EU project on 

"Evolving Cell Signalling Networks (ESIGNET)"

we have openings for a Doctoral student and a Postdoctoral scientist 

We are seeking strongly motivated and highly qualified candidates
having profound  analytical, programming, and theoretical
skills. Experience in biological information processing, evolutionary
computation, systems biology, mathematical modelling, artificial life,
molecular biology, and C++/JAVA programming under LINUX would be
advantegous. A good knowledge of English is mandatory, since the
project is caried out in cooperation with the Universities of
Eindhoven, Birmingham, and Dublin. 

We offer an international, interdisziplinary, and technically state of
the art environment where you can continually add to your skills
through involvement in different lines of research. Our group is
member of the JCB, which is a leading center for bioinformatics and
compuational biology in Germany (first rank in March 2005 evaluation).  

Currently, funding is available until 31.08.2008.

am/im Institut fuer Informatik, AG Biosystemanalyse

Schwerpunktaufgaben
     
- Mitarbeit im EU Projekt "Evollving Cell Signalling Networks (     
- Entwicklung von Methoden zur Evolution von Zellsignalwegen in silico     
     
     
Qualifikationsanforderungen:
     
- sehr gute analytische und informatische Faehigkeiten

- C++/JAVA, LINUX, evolutionaere Algorithmen,
  Systembiologie, artificial life, dynamische Systeme     

     
Allgemeine Anforderungen:
     
- Universitaetsabschluss (Informatik, Physik, Mathematik, Biologie, oder aehnlich)

- optional: Promotion
