This was essentially a course in real analysis covering topics like abstract Lebesgue integration, convergence theorems, and the divergence theorem.

- Convex geometry and geometric inequalities

The goal of this course was to provide a first introduction to geometry with a focus on fundamental geometric inequalities between metric quantities such as volume, surface area and generalizations of these.

Since the students were not assumed to have any prior knowledge of differential geometry or geometric measure theory, polytopal approximation of general convex bodies was a central technical tool.
The topics discussed included mixed volumes, the Brunn-Minkowski inequality, the isoperimetric inequality and its connection with the optimal constants in Sobolev inequalities, Steiner symmetrization,
the Blaschke-Santaló inequality and the Mahler conjecture.
