Abstract
We present a new environment for automatic differentiation in the Maple computer algebra system. Our implementation includes the reverse mode and may be applied to a wide variety of Maple procedures. Also presented is a discussion of the model of automatic differentiation used, code optimization issues, the generation of Fortran/C code, and some details of the implementation.
